Westerville Parade Information See Calendar Entry

The parade route is from the business park up Heatherdown Drive to State Street, then up State Street through downtown Westerville to St. Paul’s Catholic Church. The parade route is 2.5 miles, and early weather reports are calling for hot/humid and rain (much like Grandville last year).

The Westerville Parade is Wednesday July 4th. It will step off at 1:30 PM (or 1330) from the Brooksedge Business Park. This business park is located on the south side of West Schrock Road, between State Street (also known as Westerville Road or Rt. 3) and Cleveland Ave. We will not be given an exact meeting location in the business park until that morning, so if you are being dropped off, just drive through until you find the sub. Please plan on being at the staging area between 12:30 and 1:00. The best way to get to the staging area is to get off I-270 at exit 29 (Rt. 3) and go north to Schrock Road. Take a left and then look for Brooksedge Drive on the left.

Clutch's opinion of the best place to watch the parade is to park in the downtown business parking areas a block on either side of State Street, and watch if from in front of the businesses. There are many ice cream shops and other eateries there, as well as various shops. There are also several elementary schools a block or so east of State Street on Walnut that have parking lots and are within easy walking distance to the parade route.
