November Events In Photo Gallery
It has been a busy month for the columbus base members - our monthly meeting, the Columbus Veterans Day parade, final highway clean-up and the Gahanna Festival of Lights parade all occured this month. USS Columbus Meet & GreetMark you calendars, Commander Doody, the COB and a JO will be coming to town this week, and we will have an opportunity to meet them Friday night. We will meet at the AMVETS Post 89, where we have our monthly meetings, at 1800. The AMVETS are having meatball subs and pizza night sponsored by the Sons of AMVETS at the same time if you are so inclined, or simply stop by and have a drink and learn about OUR submarine. Columbus Base Awards and Recognitions Dinner
Clem O'Brien, George Trace, and Bob Wells were inducted into the Holland Club at our annual Awards and Recognitions Dinner. John Carey, Ohio State Senator, 17th District was the speaker with distinguished guests Gordon and Paul Larson assisting and presenting the "Richard A. Larson Shipmate of the Year" award. Powell Memorial Day Parade and Veteran Memorial Dedication
