Valentines for Veterans concerts are an expression of appreciation and support for our nations’ Veterans from Help Hospitalized Veterans (HHV), the VA and the community. Columbus is honored to be selected as one of the 2012 Valentines for Veterans concert sites. The celebration pays tribute to our Veterans, increases awareness of the needs of hospitalized Veterans, and provides the public with an additional opportunity to express their own appreciation for the sacrifices of America’s Veterans.   <description>It&#039;s my sad duty to inform you of the passing of our shipmate George Howard “Skip” Sanderson Jr, who embarked on Eternal Patrol Wednesday 30 November 2011. Sailor, Rest Your Oar. Graveside services for George Howard “Skip” Sanderson Jr will be at 1:00 pm Monday December 5, 2011 at Grove Cemetery in Kenton Oh. Military graveside rites by Amvets Post 1994. Price Funeral Home – Kenton is handling arrangements. He died Wednesday November 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1944 in Kenton, Ohio to George Howard &amp;amp; Betty Lou (Kelly) Sanderson Sr. His father survives in Kenton. Also surviving are 3 sons Joseph Sanderson of Alexandria, VA, Bruce Sanderson of Pearl Harbor, HI, and Michael Sanderson of CA, 1 daughter Kristina Sanderson of CA. A sister Joyce Heilshorn of  Defiance, and 2 brothers David Sanderson of Sycamore, OH and Jeffrey Sanderson of Dublin, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother. He spent 21 years in the Navy in submarine services retiring as a Naval Officer. He was a member of the Amvets Post 1994, VFW Post 3816, and a life member of the United States Submarine Veterans Incorporated.  Online condolences may be expressed at  http://pricefh.net/ . Memorials may be made to the Amvets Post 1994 flag fund.</description>
